COLLEGE LIBRARY

The college library is
a spacious three storey building. It boasts
of certain unique corners. Our collection of
Vedic literature, Indology and collection of
old manuscripts are rare treats for a book
lover. Researchers from round the country
and abroad have availed themselves of the
rich material available here. Most of the
activities of the library are computerized.
At present we have over one lac twenty
thousand books on our shelves and subscribe
to 105 journals/periodicals. These are
arranged subject wise on shelves, for open
browsing. The surroundings of the library
are comfortable and ideal for study, and
there are ample reading spaces available for
quiet study. A photocopier is provided in
the library for serving the students and
teachers. The college has gone in for
INFLIBNET software SOUL to provide latest
computerized services in the library.
The need for spending
more time in the library is increasingly
felt at the college level because the
lecture method encourages independent
reading and strengthens the urge for keeping
in touch with the latest developments in
various fields. Besides the central library,
departments also maintain small libraries of
their own.
