Admission to these
courses will be on the basis of entrance tests
(O-CET) conducted by the Panjab University. Only
the rank holders in these entrance tests will be
considered for admission. 50% weightage will be
given to the score in the entrance tests &
50%
to the score in the qualifying examination.
Merit list will be displayed on 02.07.08 at 11
a.m.
The Term End examination
for these Courses shall be held as under:
For Bio-Informatics, Bio-
Technology, Information Technology
There will be 2 semesters
for each year and four semesters for the whole
course.
For Chemistry, Mathematics
and Zoology :
Part I at the end of the
first year of the Course and Part II at the end
of the second year of the course, once a year
ordinarily in the month of April on a date fixed
by the Syndicate.

the Panjab University for implementation from
the admissions of 2004.

Conditions
Cancellation of
Seats/Admissions
Admission of all such
students who fail to attend at least 33% of the
total lectures delivered and practicals held in
all the papers during the first 10 days from the
start of teaching work in the course concerned,
shall be cancelled by the College after
following the procedure given below:
-
By the 12th day after
the start of classes for a particular
course, that names of those students who
fail to attend at least 33% of the total
lectures/practicals shall be put up on the
college Notice Board. Within 4 days of the
date of such notice, a student who is so
short of attendance may give in writing the
reasons for his absence from the classes.
-
If a student does not
submit an application in writing within the
prescribed time as stated above, or the
reasons adduced by the student in his
application are not found to be sufficient
and justified in the opinion of the
authorities, his admission shall be
cancelled by the college.
-
All the seats thus
falling vacant shall be filled from the
waiting list or through subsequent
counseling.
-
When the admission of
the student is cancelled as stated above,
the college shall display on the Notice
Board the list of the person(s) next in the
waiting list and make admissions
accordingly.
Note: It is
obligatory on the part of students to keep in
touch with the college for the possibility of
the seats to fall vacant.
In case a student absents
him self continuously for 5 days, his name will
be struck off the College rolls automatically.
Verification of
Certificates:
All certificates submitted
by the candidates at the time of application in
support of their claims shall be checked against
the originals at the time of interview.
For the marks obtained,
the original certificates shall be ones issued
by the University/Board concerned only, and NOT
by any Principal of a School/College.
In case a candidate happens to have surrendered
the original certificate to an institution/
office, as for re-evaluation etc., a copy of the
certificate duly attested by a Class-1 Officer
of the University or a Gazetted Officer may be
considered, after a satisfactory explanation
from the candidate. Admissions based on such
certificates shall be treated as provisional.
A certificate, submitted
by the candidate in support of a claim made by
him/her, should be in the format prescribed by
the issuing authority. No deviation from this
shall be made.
Certificate concerning
gap years
Candidates, whose career
reflects a gap of years between passing of the
last examination and the admission being sought
now by them, are required to furnish, at the
time of application, an affidavit to the effect
attested by the Magistrate 1st class that they
were not involved in any Offence/Unlawful
activities during the gap years. The
Chairpersons/ Convener, Joint Admission Cell
shall satisfy themselves that, during this gap
period, the candidates were engaged either in
service or in studies.
Verification of SC/ST
Certificates:
The admission of the SC/ST
candidates producing the requisite certificates
of being SC/ST for admission to various courses
at this College/University is made provisional
subject to verification of the certificates from
the issuing authority.
Inter-Department
Migration:
A student may be permitted
to migrate from one Department of another,
subject to submission of a certificate from the
Head of the latter Department that on the
waiting list no candidate having higher
percentage of marks than the applicant is
interested in admission ordinarily within one
month from the date of commencement of normal
admissions but not later than 31st August, 2005
in accordance with the rules regarding payment
of fees/ dues of the college.
