Migration Rules
A candidate who
has passed his/ her 1st year or 2nd year
examination of B.A./B.Sc. (General) / B.Com./
B.B.A./ B.C.A. Course conducted by another
University/College affiliated to another
university in India under specific authorization
by the University concerned is allowed to
migrate to a college affiliated to this
University in the 2nd year/3rd year class of
the respective course on the condition that such
a candidate will have to clear the deficient
subject/s if any, within the permissible
chances.
Deficiencies
would be determined by the Principal at the time
of admission under intimation to the University
as well as to the students as per University
rules. Mid term migration from other
universities is
not permissible. A student migrating from a
college affiliated to Punjabi University,
Patiala/Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar/
Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra & Himachal
Pradesh University, Shimla to a college
affiliated to the Panjab University, Chandigarh
must note the following:
He/she will not
be admitted to the same course unless he/she
produces:
i) A
migration certificate from the university
concerned.
ii) The
lower examination pass certificate, and
iii) A
lecture statement from the college he/she
migrates from.
NOTE:
1)
Migration of a student from a professional
college to an arts or science college and vice versa is not permissible.
2) A
migration fee and eligibility fee shall be
charged from every student coming from another
University.
3)
No migration shall be allowed in the
Postgraduate Course from a college affiliated to
another university.
4)
Migration shall not be allowed after expiry of
last date of receipt of admission forms of the annual examination without late fee.
5) The
migration shall be allowed only if the applicant
is eligible for admission to the course under
the Panjab University regulations.
6) When
the migration of the student has been allowed,
he/she must join the new college within 15 days otherwise the migration shall
automatically stand cancelled.
