Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has recognized this college for the promotion of Life Sciences under the Star College Scheme. Government of India has sanctioned a grant of Rs. 27 lakh which will be utilized by the Departments of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Zoology within two years.
